Lexposure's Model Rankings for May 2009: Vogue US Fever

From the shifts the female rankings experienced between April and May, it becomes even clearer how significant a Vogue US cover is to a model these days. Because of the rarity of a model cover appearance, the points involved are the most out of any magazine that factor into the standings, and several of our top girls manage even more important rises, most notably Anna Maria Jagodzinska, the new #1. Also worthy of note is Karlie Kloss’ increased appearance throughout important publications lately, even sitting in on Vogue US’ model panel discussion as the prolific newcomer. Where she will stand in another three months is anyone’s guess at this point, but she’s certainly not slowing down.

A few positions off the rankings is Constance Jablonski, whose lovely editorials in both May Vogue Nippon and May Harper’s Bazaar US seem to be beginner indications of her emergence as a print favorite. While her campaign work still needs some momentum, she possesses the potential to advance further and further.

The men’s side sees some important changes near the top and bottom tiers, with Alan Carey and George Barnett’s debuts as the most significant. It may be hard to believe that the SS10 runway season for these guys are just another month away, but as always, we just look forward to how catwalk appearance will shake up the rankings over the summer.
